Fernando José Ramirez Cruz is a very respectful 10-year-old boy who, like most Nicaraguan children, loves to play baseball. He enjoys playing in the local league, and plays any free chance he gets. His favorite famous person is Cheslor Cuthbert, a professional baseball player from Nicaragua.
When asked what he would do with $100, he said, “That’s a lot of money! I would give part of it to my mom to buy food and the other part I would use to buy clothes.” Fernando lives with his mom, Merary, who makes a living by selling tortillas. Sadly, he doesn’t know his earthly father, but we rejoice with the angels in Heaven because during his time at Oasis, Fernando accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, so therefore now has a relationship with our Heavenly Father!
Fernando would like to pay better attention to his teachers in school and continue learning about God so that he can one day be a pastor. Praise God for the work He is doing in Fernando’s life. Check out some of his favorite things, and join us in praying for him!
